Henki tarkoittaa ihmisen tai eläimen elämää, vanhoissa uskomuksissa myös yliluonnollista elämänvoimaa. Pyhä henki on käsite, jolla viitataan yleisesti jumalvoimaan ja sen ilmenemismuotoihin useissa eri uskonnoissaFilosofiassa hengen käsitteellä viitataan oletettuun aineettomaan substanssiin aineen vastakohtana.^[1]Henkinen tarkoittaa yksilön omien tekojen arviointia ikään kuin ulkoapäin ja kykyä eettisiin kannanottoihin.^[2] Hengellinen viittaa lähinnä uskonnolliseen aineettomaan ja siihen suuntautuvaan toimintaan ja ajatteluun.
